Derek Horton is a Managing Director at Bridgeport Partners. At Bridgeport, Derek is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing financial technology investments.

Prior to Bridgeport, Derek was an Analyst at Silver Point Capital (Silver Point), where he invested in public and private markets globally and across the capital structure, focusing primarily on financial institutions. Prior to Silver Point, Derek was an analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, in the Financial Institutions Group, where he focused on M&A advisory for financial technology companies, asset managers, and banks.

Derek graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an A.B. in Computer Science and a secondary in Economics.
